Friendship Over Love

Have you ever caught in a situation where you and your friend shared the same crush? Like, suppose you and your friend (and to make things worse, make it your best friend) secretly have this feelings towards the same girl and both of you didn't actually realise it. Then one day, you began to sense something was actually fishy about the way your best friend treated that girl. Soon after, you started the get the big picture as you take a look into his facebook activities (or in short, stalking him), and found he seemed to fancy that girl, as well as you are.

What you think you would do?

To be frank I personally have no experience over things like this, since it never happened to me. But I do have an experience of handling a misunderstanding between me and one of my friend on things just as the same as this. The slight difference is, I have no feelings to that girl.

"About a year ago, during my foundation programme I was assigned to be in mentor-mentee group with this girl, one of my lecture mate. We were obligated to see our mentor every week and complete every tasks given, sometimes together. Which in short means, I had to stick with her for the whole mentor-mentee programme period. (It lasted for a few months)

This girl, well, I didn't know much about her. We never knew each other before from anywhere before that programme, and even during the programme, I didn't really talked much to her. But after a while, from some of my friends I learnt that the girl who I got to get stuck with for that period, actually have a boyfriend, which is also a friend of mine. Well I was like, "Oh, I see", but I didn't sweat it because it utterly had nothing to do with me.

There was a day when that girl talked to me, and told me that she is having a problem with her boyfriend. She told me that their relationship is ruining. Well guess why? His boyfriend was jealous coz he often saw us together, but that is not the worst part. Worse, he blindly accused us for having a special relationship, which explained why he never greeted me for the whole semester.

I was like, "So this whole thing happened coz he was jealous of me being together with her girlfriend, whom I hardly know, and suddenly accused us for having an affair that is starting to ruin their relationship and already kill our friendship ... and I don't even know a thing about this??"

"And why on earth that he didn't face me personally and let me explain things up, despite of making his own assumptions, accusations and blind anticipations? I'm right here sharing the same hostel with him. It is awful it happened that way coz that thing doesn't even true!"

The next few months, they broke up, and that girl left the university. But still, thinking of that, it is still painfully awful coz their relationship collapsed over a thing that is not true. Merely, just because of jealousy. How would you feel when suddenly you become the main reason over a ruined relationship, when you actually don't know anything about it? Painfully awful.. "

Back to the top, in a situation where you and one of your friend is in denial coz you both like the same person, I guess it is best for one of you to give in. To me, it is much better that way, than keep antagonising each other for years and ruining the friendship utterly.

In such cases, "BMW" always means "Best Man Wins". But it is not you nor your friend who's going to decide who's the best man. It is her decision. Whether you would be the one who give in for the sake of the friendship, or you keep fighting for the girl, she knows who's the best :)

Father

As a cranky son, I don't always think a father's life would be much easier than it looks. I find my father for instance, unpredictable. Though as a father's son I usually think I've known my father well, but I still can't explain why sometimes it would be very hard to anticipate what he had in mind.
"What goes around comes around"

Thats karma, thats life. Where whatever you did, you would just get the same thing in return. You pay someone a good deed, the very same thing he'll give you. You dare to commit wrong things, be dare to face the music too. Everything bought, must be paid. That is the law of a worldly life.

But guess what, that law doesn't apply to a father. You see, I'm a cranky son, I misbehaved a lot. I don't always agree with my father. He says white, and I see black. I am a rebellious son when I was younger. When there were some things that I asked from my father but he objected, I got clamped up real quick and try to show how angry I was as apparent as I could. Slammed door, whines and sinister smiles, anything.

Sometimes when my father perceived my protests such so, I would got punished instantly. Recalling the strokes of rattan, locked doors from inside, and other punishments I got when I was younger had always left a mark in myself. I always thought that he hated me badly.

But I was actually got deceived by my own negative mind. Despite of all the punishments my father gave me that I assumed before were how he manifest his hates towards me, he actually bought me a cake for my birthdays, give me presents when I excelled something and always be late to work because he sent me to school on the first place for like, everyday! There was some times before that I heard that his boss had always called him at the office and mad at him for being always late to work. You know how it made you think when you know you're the main reason why your father always late to work and he had to face the boss every time. Because of you.

Since then I don't see any hates anymore. It was just me.

Now you see how that karma doesn't work to a father, to my father. Whatever I gave him, no matter how cranky, how bad, how naughty I was, he'll will just give me one and only; a fathers love.

(Even though the punishments are still following~ XD)

"Dear father, this Dean List is for you.."

>>I really hope some day I will be able to post a status update in my Facebook, like that :)

Love ya, father. Whatever you do, you're always my hero. <3

Love is..?

Few weeks ago I signed in my Facebook account and took a mosey around my friends pages. Read a bunch of statuses from each profile, well none of them were about each of them, but do you know what they all got in common? All of them were melodramatic quotes, crediting to each others sweethearts, or at least, talk about nothing but love.

Then I thought to myself; at the age of 19, is this the mating season for human? >.<

Few moments when I was "busy" stalking into each walls, someone greeted my on the chatbox. A girl I never knew, saying "hi". Then we chatted a lil'; talking about each other and all those boring questions : "how are you", "where do you live", "have you eaten", "what did you do today" etc. Then after a while she suddenly asked me if I've a girlfriend yet, and I replied no. I felt obliged to ask her the same and her answer is the same as mine, no. But she said she was looking for one. Well, what else could I say, I told her to chill coz I assured her that she'll find her match sooner or later, its just the matter of time. Then, she suddenly threw me a question :

"Do you want..?"

I knew I wasn't only blushing at the moment, but it gave me goosebumps too. Yeah! Its creepy to think how that question could be that easy to be thrown to a random guy, that was me, that she just found in just like, 30 minutes earlier!

Just one question to girls : IS IT REALLY THAT EASY?

Few months ago, an almost exactly the same situation happened to me. I was chatting with a girl I just knew for 2 days (from Facebook) and she already talked about "marriage", "getting married" and "fated to be together". She said that she wished I'll marry her.

Again, blushed face and goosebumps. >.<

Love is..? That easy..? That short? That simple? Really?

Lovestruck

Plenty of years ago, I have a non-socialize mind, which on that time I personally think that, to deal with girls is to deal with problems. Yeah, I don’t believe them coz they are often got into my nerve and never on the same boat with my mind.

“Love? Nope, no I won’t. The truth is dude, I don’t believe in love, coz personally I think its just disgusting to get over all that romance and melodramas, didn’t it? Girls just shouldn’t be trusted, not at all. The love you’re dreaming with them is just a lie which they had bluffed all over you. All the happiness and mirth you feel to be in love with them is just a fool’s paradise, I assure you. I’ve seen a lot of them happening to my friends, and I’ll see lot more of them soon..”

That was what I thought before. I was not so interested to love or to be loved, so paradoxically different with most of my friends on that time. They’re looked so keen to get into love, or if not, seemed to be so desperate to look for one. And that’s why at only a schooling age, love and all that related to were my friends’ field of expertise; no doubt to say so as they were very well experienced in it. My batch itself was full of couples and mates who are madly in love with each other. I found that kind of atmosphere in my both schooling times; primary school and high school. Yeah, I still have a clear picture in my mind about it.

But when I turned 15, my perceptions on love suddenly turned upside down. I found it no longer such a disgusting thing to talk about, and I totally forgot about the “fool’s paradise” and “melodramas” all over! Yeah, all over..

And now, as I turned 18, I finally got in and living in the ‘fool’s paradise I’ve been talking about years ago.. And I’m kinda love it =)

Now I realized that I was totally mistaken to have a mind as I had years ago. I shouldn’t said so. Women are meant for men and we are meant for them. We shouldn’t deny their presence in our lives coz they’re actually complementing us, our lives. So why don't you appreciate them, boys =)

Love; Pros and Cons

Hye bloggers. Welcome back.

Firstly congratulations to all my friends who are going to or had gone to their allocated universities abroad. Most destinations are Egypt with typically taking Medics or Dentistry. I'm so proud of you all, but at the same time I'm feeling quite sad to be far away from you all my friends. Hopefully we'll meet ever again someday, Insya-Allah.

Anyway, today's post is fancy with a quite interesting topic for adolescent like us; love. To blaze the trail I'm not describing on what is love, (Coz I'm 110 percent certain that you all knew it better than me) instead of that I'm just going to be very straightforward; Is it really necessary to have one or just never mind? I know most of you are well experienced on this, maybe you've already have one or still looking for one but mind me, you gotta believe me that once you're in, it is going to be either one of these; a cute and cuddly life or a big problem. Hows that?

By love, you could neglect your life, your studies and honor. Sometimes even it could go even worser. But it really depends on how you manage your feeling and what type of person your sweetheart are.

"Women impure are for men impure, and men impure are for women impure and women of purity are for men of purity, and men of purity are for women of purity: these are not affected by what people say: for them there is forgiveness and a provision is honourable."
                                                                                                                                         An Nur (24:26)

If she/he leads you for the better, then its fine. Cute and cuddly. But if you mislead your life along with her/him, then thats a truly big problem. You should be very aware and careful while finding your match, really do. But if you think you've found one and she/he looks perfect to you now, don't hesitate to break up if she/he turns the way around on the other time in the future. What I want say is you shouldn't pledge allegience to your match and swore will stick with her/him forever, because maybe somewhen in the future he'll change and show her/his true color. Then if that, he/she will ruin your life along. My advice; don't believe in first sight love. Make sure you've known your match thoroughly before decide to dwell around with her/him.

To love someone is to put someone in your heart. So when you're in love, that literally means that he's/she's ruling your heart; you won't let go whatever happen. Then there comes the problem.

"There's a flesh in a human body. If the flesh is pure, then so goes the whole body. If the flesh is impure, so goes the whole body. Acknowledge it, it's the heart."
                                                                                          Hadits Rowahu Bukhari wa Muslim

The heart is the totalitarian of our body. It decides what we think, what we do and even what we are. So as love stays there, we must always make sure that the love is totally pure. But on the first place, always prior the faith and put it on top of our heart. Make sure the faith will never get affected by love, but love will always affected by faith. Faith is our love to Allah and Rasulullah, so it is non-tolerable to be put aside. Must always beyond others. So my other advice : Never put love first in heart, and don't let our faith and love share a room in our heart. Our faith in Allah, Rasulullah and Islam must comes first by hook or crook. Non-negotiable.

But friends, as a student, does it really necessary to have one? Okay, personally, I don't think so. Why? Simple. Because it is not supportive for us as a student. In any how why must we have one? To satisfy our needs and feeling as a teenager, and isn't it just that? Yes it is! Just that. As a growing adolescent, yes I'm not gonna deny the fact that we did really feel to have someone to love and to be loved by someone, somewhen. Thats nature. But its not really helps a lot in contributing something to improve our studies or even raise our grades in exams, so I can say, its not worth it.

But on the other side, I think as long as it doesn't break the rules I bolded above, well I think maybe its fine.
So you decides, ok =)

Good Riddance

Hey there,
I am wondering if you were listening,
'Coz I'm here to tell you something,
That afterall I am still suffocating,
In a thought 'bout you where I'm living.

Hey there,
Losing you is what I can't afford,
'Coz you are special in all sorts,
And being with you please me a lot,
Sorry for saying things you are not.

Hey there,
I know that this can't last forever,
But at least lets make it last longer,
Sharing all laughs and tears together,
And so we could understand each other better.

But now all left is just memories,
'Coz breaking up with you comes with misery,
And the sadness, it was complimentary,
All I can say is just sorry..

-good riddance of you-
